Our story: One November day in 2013, three traders--Pops, Graeme and Kai-- met at Cafe 360 on Kalaukaua Avenue in Waikiki to share trading ideas. Soon they began meeting regularly, and the group grew to 8, then 15 and more. Meeting in the upstairs Cafe 361 boardroom, Graeme began conducting classes for beginners and experienced traders.
In September 2014, we incorporated and and joined the High Tech Development Corporation at Manoa Innovation Center, near the University of Hawaii (Manoa) as a tenant. Since then HOT has been delivering first-class options education to the public, with special attention to transitioning and retiring military members and their families. Now, more than seven years later, we are connected to over 800 members, from newbies to licensed professionals, accountants and ex-military, and have hosted over 400 social and educational events in Hawaii. HOT is also engaged in efforts to make options trading accessible to special populations via the internet.
Our mission ... to be the premier deliverer of investment education for Hawaii families and schools. Our current goals include expanding our network to 1000 traders and investors, growing our educational opportunities to include online classes and digital tutorials, offering courses at Hawaii colleges and schools. Our dream? Establishing a trading school to include stocks, options, futures, currencies, real estate, entrepreneurship and business management.
E ho'oulu kakou.
(Let's grow together.)
